Combining elements of technical computer science and software engineering with creative skills in design
Hello!
About Me
Hi! My name is Ria Manathkar, and I am currently a junior at Carnegie Mellon University studying Computer Science and Human- Computer Interaction.
In computer science, we're taught how to construct efficient algorithms that can solve our greatest problems. We are shown the incredible ways we can apply this knowledge to innovate and push technology in ways it never has before. Though, this relies on humans using this new technology, and humans are often messier than the algorithms we write.
By looking at the same process through a different lens, we can see how humans interact with technology is just as important as how it is created. I solve problems for humans, and this requires me to draw from different disciplines. I thrive in collaboration and focus on bridging divides between people, industries, and technology.
